LITTER PICK

This weekend (12/13 October) we successfully removed some 13 bags of rubbish from around our two villages.

South Thoresby removed 8 bags from the village, the approach roads and The Warren. The effort was supported by both councillors and residents. Thank you and well done.

In Swaby, a resident and myself removed 5 bags of rubbish, largely from the A16 in Whitepit. Our efforts were supported by Mr & Mrs Wilkinson who kindly opened the Village Hall and provided some most welcome hot refreshments.

DOG FOULING

The Council has been informed that there is a problem with dog fouling throughout the parishes, and would ask that all dog walkers pick up after their dogs and dispose of the litter in the appropriate bins, or take it home to dispose of.  Dog walkers are asked not to hang full dog bags in trees or hedges.
