MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD
3rd November 2021
Present: Cllrs Start, Leonard, Powis, Gibson, Daniels & Millburn

Cllr Gibson was elected to take the Chair for this meeting.
39 APOLOGIES
Apologies and valid reasons for absence were received from Cllrs Bailey & Dransfield, and these were agreed.
40 DECLARATIONS
Cllrs Start and Leonard declared a personal interest in agenda item relating to the Village Hall grant request.
41 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 8th SEPTEMBER 2021
It was resolved that these be signed by the Chairman of the meeting as a correct record.
42 UPDATES
Clerk had asked Cllr Marfleet for an update on any issues found in his “ward walk”, was still waiting for response.
Cllr Start advised the Village Hall Committee had not progress further the defibrillator at this stage.
Cllr Gibson had still not received details on the species survey.
Swaby Fund – N S & I account – confirmation on signatories to be sent once signed at this meeting.
Cllr Start advised Village Hall Committee still keen to do a “community day”, possibly spring/early summer 2022.
43 FINANCE
a) It was resolved that the following accounts be paid:
Clerks salary & PAYE (October/November) £254.00
b) It was resolved that a grant of £150 be paid to Swaby Village Hall, and is was resolved that the cheque be raised at this meeting.
44. SOUTH THORESBY QUARRY
This item was deferred to the next meeting.
45 SOUTH THORESBY NOTICE BOARD
This item was deferred to the next meeting. The Clerk had obtained some prices from notice board manufacturers –
4 x A4 oak lockable with toughened glass £573.12

46. NUCLEAR STORAGE FACILITY – THEDDLETHORPE
Discussion followed on the merits/demerits of a facility, points considered were –
Nuclear power produces waste which needed to be stored
Would it include hospital grade waste
Would it include imported waste
It was agreed that the Council was not in a position to support or object until the situation was clearer, and to defer any further discussion until the proposal was formally submitted.
47 CORRESPONDENCE
There was none.
48 PLANNING:
Old School House, South Thoresby – two storey extension – support
Belleau Trout Farm – change use barn to dwelling – no observations.
49 ANY OTHER MATTERS OR ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA
South Thoresby Notice Board (next agenda) – Clerk to circulate quotes received.
