15 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 26th MAY 2021

16 UPDATES
It was noted that due to restrictions still being in force the Annual Parish Meeting was not called as per Minute 11 26th May.

Clerks salary & PAYE (June/July) £254.00
Reimbursement for domain name £ 23.78
The rent for the garden plots for 20/21 and 21/22 was received.
18 SOUTH THORESBY QUARRY
Cllr Bailey had sent an update to members for perusal prior to the meeting. This covered the main problems (being chalk deposits on the road, roadside vegetation and houses adjoining the road and unsheeted vehicles leaving the quarry) and the steps Cllr Bailey had taken to try and resolve the problem with the relevant authorities.
Cllr Bailey then updated members on the position to date – LCC had written to Grantham Bros in order to ascertain who actually ran the quarry, if no response then LCC would issue a statutory notice to obtain that information, with the possibility of a fine if the information is not forthcoming. GBM appears to be trading name of Grantham Industries Ltd who hold the Environment Agency Permit for dealing with waste, but clarification is needed as to who actually manages and runs the chalk quarry side.
Cllr Bailey to continue with this.
